Fushimi Inari at Midnight

Hey everyone, greetings from Kyoto again!

Did you ever have the thought of wanting to hike a mountain, but being too scared of how tough it’s gonna be? Have you ever had the thought of wanting to visit a shrine, but you’re afraid that it’s gonna be too touristy? No worries! Just come do a midnight Fushimi Inari session in Kyoto (after 22:00 recommended)! No tourists (everyone comes by day), only boars, monkeys, you (and possibly your friends), and your thoughts.

Now you may wonder, what does Fushimi Inari offer? Well, to simply describe it, it gives you an excellent view of Kyoto. Going on an exchange is challenging for everyone; for a lot of people, it’s the first time abroad for such a long time without their family. As a result, you may harbor some feelings of doubt, sadness, and so much more. As a remedy to this, I say, come to Fushimi Inari! Enjoy the night view of Kyoto and relish the calmness. (It is at the same time also an excellent workout.)

P.S. If you ever do an exchange at Ryukoku, Fushimi Inari is only a 10-minute walking distance away.
P.S.2.0: if you come by day, do so at your own risk (lots of people and can be quite hot)

Yours sincerely,
Charles
