Hey everyone, greeting from Kyoto!
Directly cutting to the chase, let’s talk food! In this post I would like to introduce you to “Fushimi Sake Village”, a ramen shop which I just discovered this weekend. As the name suggests, their broth is infused with sake, giving it a rich and savory taste. They arguably have the most delicious ramen that I have eaten thus far. “Fushimi Sake Village” isn’t just a ramen shop, It also kind of functions as a small scale food stall concept. So you can sit at the sake bar and at the same order the sake noodles from the stall behind it. The shop is located in Fushimi Momoyama, a part of Kyoto still left untouched by mass tourism (it can get quite busy during festivals tho) and is located next to an authentic shōtengai (Japanese shopping street), which is also worth seeing. For those coming to Kyoto, I certainly recommend visiting this part and its various stores.
I’ll leave it at this for now, maybe till the next post!
